Series A · Climate Tech · Copenhagen, Denmark · Founded 2021
Again is a carbon utilization startup that transforms waste CO₂ into valuable chemicals using proprietary gas-eating bacteria technology. Born from 10+ years of research at DTU, Stanford, and MIT, the company operates Europe's first commercial CO₂-to-chemicals facility in Copenhagen, converting industrial exhaust into acetate and acetic acid with up to 80% emission reductions. The startup has raised €39.4 million in Series A funding led by GV and HV Capital, plus a €43 million EU grant, bringing total funding to over $100 million. Their point-of-source carbon capture service is offered for free since their revenue model is selling the chemical byproducts, and they have a major offtake agreement with global distributor HELM AG.
