Aidoptation is a Belgian-American startup founded in 2025 as the commercial spin-off from the Indy Autonomous Challenge (IAC), a US competition where AI-driven robotic cars race at extreme speeds on iconic circuits. The company develops EdgeDrive, a high-speed autonomous driving platform that has reached Technology Readiness Level 6–7, enabling highway-speed autonomy above 90 km/h for commercial, police, first-responder, and defence vehicles. Headquartered at DronePort in Sint-Truiden, Belgium — a 30-hectare airport business park for carbon-free and autonomous mobility — Aidoptation raised a €5M seed round in February 2025 backed by LRM and Ethias Ventures, followed by a €20M Series A round in December 2025 led by SFPIM, John Cockerill Defence, Ethias Ventures, and Belfius Bank & Insurance. The fresh capital will fund R&D, industrialisation of validated technologies, and strategic partnerships across Europe, the US, and Asia.
