AILOS Robotics is a deep-tech spin-off from the BruBotics research group at Vrije Universiteit Brussel that designs and manufactures next-generation robotic actuators. The company's core innovation is its patented R2poweR gearbox, which combines high torque density with smooth backdrivability to make humanoids, collaborative robots, and prosthetics lighter and safer. Following nearly a decade of prior academic research, the startup officially incorporated alongside a major milestone in late 2025. It secured a €3.5 million seed round led by QBIC and High-Tech Gründerfonds to commercialize its technology. AILOS Robotics has also demonstrated traction by winning the pitch event of the FARI AI Accelerator Program and graduating from the Creative Destruction Lab.
