Aldea Energy is a Valencia-based cleantech startup founded in 2022 that enables collective solar self-consumption, allowing residents and businesses to access renewable energy without needing a rooftop or any upfront investment. Its subscription-based model connects users to nearby photovoltaic installations within a 5 km radius, delivering solar savings from as little as €5.49/month. The company claims to be the first in Europe to offer this subscription model for shared self-consumption communities. It has raised €250,000 in backing from Lanzadera (the Juan Roig accelerator) and energy sector investor Marcos Lacruz, and was selected to represent Spain in the EU final of the Climate Launchpad programme.
