Ascento is a Zurich-based ETH spin-off building wheel-legged autonomous robots for outdoor security patrolling, offered as a Robotics-as-a-Service. Founded in 2023 by Alessandro Morra, Miguel de la Iglesia Valls, Ciro Salzmann and Dominik Mannhart, the team raised $4.3M in pre-seed funding led by Wingman Ventures and Playfair in September 2023. Customers include manufacturing plants, data centres, pharma campuses and logistics warehouses across Europe.
