Belfort is a Belgian-American deep-tech startup spun out of KU Leuven’s COSIC cryptography lab that builds purpose-built hardware accelerators and secure systems for encrypted compute—allowing sensitive data to be processed without ever being decrypted, enabling privacy-preserving AI and analytics at scale across healthcare, finance, government and national security applications; it raised $6,000,000 in a seed round led by Vsquared Ventures with participation from Anagram, Protocol VC, Inovia Capital, Syndicate One, Prototype, Credibly Neutral and prominent angels including Jeff Dean and Naval Ravikant to accelerate product development and early enterprise pilots.
