Carbon Centrum operates an innovative platform that autonomously tracks individual CO2 footprints, creating first-ever Carbon IDs representing data-backed offsets, with companies competitively purchasing these offsets by seamlessly connecting individuals, brands, and carbon markets. The startup secured €5M valuation in their pre-seed round and has been backed by Impact StartUp Norge as one of 10 selected impact startups. The company pioneered a unique approach to offsetting emissions by engaging with employees through a fitness app-like system where team members can track their emissions via activities in mobility, shopping and energy categories, automatically converted into footprints and creating CarbonID for users. Carbon Centrum was established in Oslo in July 2023 and has received support from EIT InnoEnergy portfolio and other leading investors.
