CH-Bioforce Oy

Series A · Climate Tech · Espoo, Finland · Founded 2016 · 8–10 employees

CH-Bioforce has developed a revolutionary BIOFORSENSE technology that can fractionate biomass into all three main components - cellulose, hemicellulose, and sulphur-free lignin - in a single process, something no other technology has achieved. Their bio-based materials can replace fossil and food-based raw materials across textiles, packaging, cosmetics and chemical industries. The company secured €15 million in funding from the European Innovation Council in 2022 and is building a commercial processing plant in Raisio, Finland for 2024 operations. Their technology addresses the massive waste problem where currently only cellulose is efficiently used from biomass while the rest is burned for energy.
