Cure51 is a Paris-based TechBio company that studies exceptional cancer survivors — patients who defy statistics and survive the most aggressive cancers such as metastatic pancreatic cancer and glioblastoma — to reverse-engineer the biological mechanisms behind their survival. The company is building the world's first global clinical and multi-omics database of such outlier patients, having already identified over 1,500 individuals across 55 countries and 158+ medical centers. In March 2024, Cure51 raised a €15 million seed round led by Sofinnova Partners, with participation from Hitachi Ventures, Life Extension Ventures, Xavier Niel, and Datadog co-founder Olivier Pomel. The company uses proprietary AI-accelerated computational modeling and spatial biology pipelines — in collaboration with partners such as NVIDIA, 10x Genomics, and Gustave Roussy — to translate these survival mechanisms into first-in-class cancer therapies. It was ranked 4th in FrenchWeb's We Innovate 500 for 2025, reflecting its growing recognition in the European biotech ecosystem.
