DISCO Pharmaceuticals is a German biotech company that has developed breakthrough surfaceome mapping technology to identify novel druggable targets on cancer cell surfaces. The company emerged from stealth in January 2024 with €20 million in seed financing led by Sofinnova Partners, with participation from Panakes Partners, M Ventures, and AbbVie Ventures. DISCO's proprietary technology maps protein communities on cancer cell surfaces to discover targets for antibody-drug conjugates and bispecific antibodies, focusing initially on small cell lung cancer and microsatellite-stable colorectal cancer. The company was spun out of ETH Zurich and founded by renowned scientists from ETH, University of Cologne, and Stanford University.
