ERC System is a Munich-based startup developing electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft specifically for emergency medical services and patient transport. The company has built and tested three generations of full-scale demonstrators including Romeo, which weighs 2.7 tonnes and is among Europe's largest eVTOL aircraft. They are targeting certification by 2031 for their hybrid-electric Charlie aircraft and have strategic partnerships with DRF Luftrettung, Europe's leading helicopter emergency medical service operator.
