Flok Health is the UK's first AI-powered physiotherapy clinic, enabling NHS patients to access same-day video appointments for musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions like back pain — with no waiting list. It is the first digital MSK provider to receive Care Quality Commission (CQC) approval as a healthcare provider, as well as UK medical device (MHRA) clearance to fully automate triage, assessment, and treatment. Founded in 2022 by former professional rower Finn Stevenson and co-founder Ric da Silva, the company raised a £2 million pre-seed round in July 2022 led by Eka Ventures, with Form Ventures also investing, plus grant funding from Innovate UK. The platform is now live across multiple NHS regions, and in a pilot with over 1,000 NHS staff, all surveyed patients rated the Flok experience as at least equivalent to face-to-face physiotherapy, with 57% rating it better.
