GaltTec is a deep-tech spin-off from the University of Tartu that develops and manufactures microtubular solid oxide fuel cells based on proprietary, patented technology featuring hair-thin ceramic microtubes. These fuel cells provide exceptionally high power density, durability, and fuel flexibility, running on hydrogen, methane, or ethanol. Designed as sustainable alternatives to traditional batteries and combustion engines, they primarily serve drones, off-grid equipment, space, and defense applications. In February 2025, the company secured a 1 million EUR pre-seed funding round led by 2C Ventures. GaltTec also distinguished itself as the first Estonian company to complete the prestigious NATO DIANA flagship accelerator program.
