GlobeDry, formerly known as PäikesEST, designs and manufactures off-grid, solar-powered food dehydrators for farmers, gardeners, and food producers. The company's technology enables the natural preservation of fruits, vegetables, and herbs using solar energy to reduce post-harvest food waste. Registered under the legal entity Nordic Solardry OÜ, the startup secures its market footprint by deploying dryers globally. Notably, the enterprise is executing a EUR 204,830 development cooperation project in partnership with the Estonian Environmental Investment Centre and MTÜ Mondo. This initiative deploys solar food dryers to agricultural communities in Kenya, Uganda, and Georgia through September 2025.
