Juicy Marbles is a Slovenian foodtech startup that has developed proprietary protein texturing technology to create realistic plant-based whole-cut steaks, including filet mignon, loins and ribs. The company uses an innovative marbling technology to replicate the texture and appearance of premium cuts of meat using soy protein. They raised $4.5 million in seed funding from World Fund and other investors in 2021 and are now producing around 1.5 tonnes daily from their Slovenia facility. The company is present in 3,500 stores across multiple European markets including major retailers like Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Waitrose, and is planning a US retail launch in 2025.
