Kerionics is a Spanish deep-tech startup developing high-temperature solid oxide electrolyzers (SOEC) for green hydrogen production and industrial decarbonization. The company is a spin-off from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and CSIC, specializing in the most efficient hydrogen technology for energy production and storage applications. In 2025, they received €12.8 million in EU funding to launch Zerohgreen, a project creating Spain's first automated SOEC electrolyzer production line with a total investment of €37.7 million. The company joined EIT InnoEnergy's portfolio and aims to manufacture 616 MW capacity of electrolyzers to be delivered between 2026 and 2030.
