KIUD upcycles synthetic and mixed textile waste into durable, rigid, and reusable packaging solutions including shipping boxes, bags, and sheet materials. Their patented thermomechanical process requires no water or chemicals and produces a sustainable alternative to single-use cardboard and plastic packaging. The technology yields an 82% lower carbon footprint than traditional alternatives. In December 2023, KIUD won Estonia's premier startup accelerator and TV competition, Ajujaht, securing a prize of 75,000 euros. They were also selected for the Amazon Sustainability Accelerator in 2024 and received multiple European Union co-funded grants in 2025 to develop their international export capabilities and rigid sheet materials.
