Kodiaq Technologies is a spin-out from the University of Cambridge's Department of Chemistry that designs and commercializes metal-free, organic electrolytes for long-duration redox flow batteries. Its patented technology acts as a drop-in replacement for traditional vanadium-based redox flow batteries, tripling their energy density while eliminating reliance on strategically vulnerable mined metals. The clean-tech startup has successfully raised a seed funding round to develop pilot projects. The company was also accepted into the Royal Society of Chemistry Venture Acceleration Programme in early 2025.
