The platform served the automotive, insurance, and mobility markets, counting Getaround and a Tier 1 European car manufacturer among its early customers. The company raised a €2.1M seed round in June 2020 led by Iris Capital, alongside Plug and Play and notable angel investors including Patrick Sayer and Arthur Waller. In February 2022, Monk SAS was acquired by ACV Auctions (Nasdaq: ACVA) for approximately $19M, with its technology subsequently integrated into ACV's data services and the ClearCar consumer vehicle sourcing product.
