Neustark develops technology to permanently remove CO2 from the atmosphere by capturing it from biogas plants and storing it in demolished concrete through mineralization. The company has deployed 19 operational carbon capture and storage plants across Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, and Germany, with 40 more under construction. Neustark has sold nearly 120,000 tons of carbon removal credits to major clients including Microsoft and UBS, making it one of Europe's fastest-growing carbon removal companies. In June 2024, the company raised €64.3 million in a Series C round led by Decarbonization Partners to scale towards removing 1 million tons of CO2 annually by 2030.
