Paradigma is a Rome-based deep-tech frontier AI lab building Flywheel, an AI-native research execution engine designed to automate operational burdens for machine learning and scientific researchers. By treating research as a Directed Acyclic Graph, the platform enables seamless collaboration between AI agents and human scientists via the Model Context Protocol. In September 2026, the company launched Limite 1B - Violetto, a highly optimized 1-billion parameter transformer trained from scratch for complex mathematical reasoning. Highlighting its technical validation, the company was selected as the sole Italian representative among the 10 finalists of Germany's Next Frontier AI Challenge, securing three million euros in non-dilutive grant funding from SPRIND.
