Prior Labs is developing TabPFN, a breakthrough AI foundation model specifically designed for analyzing tabular data from spreadsheets and databases. While foundation models have transformed text and images, structured data has remained largely untouched until now. The company's TabPFN model, published in Nature, delivers state-of-the-art predictions on structured data in seconds without requiring task-specific training. Founded by renowned AutoML researcher Frank Hutter and his team, Prior Labs raised €9 million in pre-seed funding led by Balderton Capital in February 2025, with notable participation from prominent AI investors.
