Q.ANT develops photonic processors that compute natively with light, offering up to 30 times the energy efficiency of conventional CMOS technologies for AI and high-performance computing applications. Founded in 2018 as a spin-off from TRUMPF, the company has raised €62 million in one of the largest Series A rounds for photonic computing in Europe. They operate their own pilot chip fabrication line in Stuttgart and have become the first company to deploy photonic AI processors to a supercomputing facility.
