Qpinch

Series B · Climate Tech · Antwerp, Belgium · Founded 2012 · 11–50 employees

Qpinch develops cutting-edge clean technology to recover and transform industrial waste heat into carbon-neutral process heat. Inspired by the natural ATP-ADP energy cycle in living cells, the company's patented Qpinch Heat Transformer uses a closed-loop reversible chemical reaction to upgrade low-temperature waste heat down to 80 °C into high-temperature process steam up to 210 °C. Because the technology relies on thermochemical principles rather than mechanical compression, it requires minimal electricity to operate, offering heavy industries a highly efficient way to reduce emissions. In April 2024, the company secured a €6 million capital increase to continue deploying its technology, following a prior €14 million Series B round raised in September 2021.
