Quandela is a French photonic quantum computing company founded in 2017, developing full-stack optical quantum computers available both on-premises and via the cloud. It became the first player in the EU to make quantum computers publicly accessible via the cloud, and delivered the first commercial quantum computer to an industrial client (OVHcloud) in March 2024. In November 2023, the company closed a €50M Series B round backed by Serena, Crédit Mutuel Innovation, the European Innovation Council Fund, Bpifrance, Omnes Capital, and Quantonation. Quandela operates its own quantum computer manufacturing facility in Massy (Île-de-France), opened in June 2023, and has an expanding international footprint including a Canadian subsidiary and a German branch.
