ReCarber is a Stockholm-based startup accelerating carbon removal through bio-CCS (bioenergy with carbon capture and storage) technology. Founded by former Klarna VP and Loomis Pay CEO Kristoffer Labuc in 2024, the company simplifies the value chain for carbon capture projects using a fintech-inspired platform approach. In February 2025, they raised €5.1M from leading Swedish VCs including Luminar Ventures, Spintop Ventures, and Course Corrected. Each project removes CO2 equivalent to 100,000-300,000 cars annually, targeting the Nordic region which could remove 60 million tonnes of CO2 yearly.
