Responsum is an EU-based software platform that automates regulatory compliance, covering GDPR and the EU AI Act. Spun off from consulting firm CRANIUM, it assists organizations with Records of Processing Activities, Data Protection Impact Assessments, and maintaining AI Registers. In late 2021, the company secured a seed round of 1 million euros to fuel its expansion efforts. Responsum has also complemented its capital structure with non-dilutive financing, including a 486,000 euro grant from VLAIO and a 350,000 euro debt facility from PMV. The business is backed by institutional venture capital firm Volta Ventures.
