SAYE is a Barcelona-born retro-conscious sneaker brand (founded 2018) that designs sustainable, mostly vegan trainers produced in ethical factories in Portugal and Spain. The brand is notable for using bio-based, recycled and recovered materials (organic cotton, recycled PU from automotive leftovers, recovered suedes and plant-based components) and for committing to restore nature — historically planting two trees per pair and reporting 325k+ trees/kelp strands through partnerships. SAYE launched as WADO via a very successful Kickstarter/Indiegogo crowdfunding effort and later completed an equity crowdfunding round in June 2018. It has grown through direct-to-consumer sales, European retail listings and pop-ups while focusing on circular material innovation, traceability and transparency.
