Scalera is a Zurich-based ETH spin-off founded in 2023 by Leonardo Reinhard, Sven Affeltranger and Federico Gossi, building an AI-powered tendering and procurement platform for mid-to-large construction firms in the DACH region. The platform automates parsing of tender documents, supplier coordination, bid generation and risk screening, cutting bidding cycles from days to hours — and already covers 65-75% of Swiss construction contractors. It raised €5.7M seed in May 2025 led by Firstminute Capital and Speedinvest, with angels including Cal Henderson (Slack co-founder) and Mehdi Ghissassi (DeepMind).
