Seabound builds onboard carbon capture equipment for cargo ships that traps up to 95% of CO2 emissions using patent-pending calcium looping technology that converts emissions into limestone pebbles. The company has completed successful sea trials capturing ~1 tonne of CO2 per day and raised over £8.5 million from investors including Y Combinator and Lowercarbon Capital. They recently completed their first full-scale maritime carbon capture units and received €1.5 million from the European Space Agency.
