Signaloid is a University of Cambridge spin-out that has developed UxHw®, a proprietary computing platform enabling deterministic computation on probability distributions — replacing slow, iterative Monte Carlo methods with results that are orders of magnitude faster, all without requiring modifications to existing software. Founded in 2019 by Professor Phillip Stanley-Marbell, the company targets high-value verticals including quantitative finance, AI/ML inference, robotics, engineering simulations, and quantum computing. In May 2023, Signaloid closed a £3 million seed round led by IQ Capital, with participation from Type One Ventures and Creator Fund, and has since joined both the Intel Ignite and Intel Liftoff programmes. The company was also among the first contract awardees for the UK's Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA), underscoring the strategic significance of its uncertainty-quantification technology. Operating as a remote-first, geographically distributed team, Signaloid delivers its platform via a cloud compute engine, on-premises deployments, and FPGA-based edge hardware modules.
