Staxxer is a Dutch cloud-based software and service platform that automates VAT compliance and EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) obligations for e-commerce businesses across Europe. Founded in 2021 in Nijmegen by Peter van de Rijdt and Ties den Dekker, the company was born out of their own frustrations with complex European VAT rules while running an international e-commerce business. Its flagship product, Staxcloud, integrates directly with marketplaces like Amazon, Shopify, and Bol.com to automate VAT registration, filing, and reporting in real time. In February 2023, Staxxer raised a seed round of approximately €1M from NOM (Development Agency for Northern Netherlands), G-Force Capital, and angel investors Demian Beenakker and Martijn Leenaerts. The company reported 700% growth and expanded its offering to include EPR compliance and e-commerce bookkeeping, positioning itself as a one-stop compliance partner for online sellers scaling across Europe.
