Tethys Robotics is an ETH Zurich spin-off developing compact, highly automated underwater drones (Tethys ONE) that enable precise inspections in turbid, high-current environments where conventional ROVs and divers fail. The modular hybrid ROV/AUV system uses advanced acoustic sensors for autonomous navigation and serves hydropower, offshore wind, oil & gas, and search and rescue sectors. Founded in 2024, the company raised EUR3.5 million in pre-seed funding to advance subsea automation in the €5 billion annual inspection market.
