Virkum, formerly known as Thorexa, designs AI-driven email automation and productivity tools to reduce administrative workloads. The startup developed Virkum Draft, a generative AI assistant that analyzes historical writing styles and corporate data to compose personalized email drafts in a user's exact voice. In February 2024, the company secured third place in Gulleggið 2024, Iceland's largest innovation competition. The team subsequently secured a spot in the prestigious Startup SuperNova 2024 accelerator program managed by KLAK – Icelandic Startups.
