Twogee Biotech

Seed · Biotech · Munich, Germany · Founded 2024 · 5–10 employees

Twogee Biotech develops customized enzyme solutions to convert industrial biomass residues and waste streams into valuable second-generation raw materials, particularly sustainable sugars for the chemical industry. Founded in 2024 by Frank Wallrapp and Helge Jochens who have over a decade of experience at Clariant, the company raised €2.16 million in seed funding in January 2026. They operate their own laboratories and bioreactors at the IZB Martinsried and are already running paid pilot projects with industrial partners. Their predictive platform integrates enzyme screening, strain engineering, and fermentation to shorten development cycles and reduce scale-up risks for the circular economy.
