Valo Therapeutics is developing novel cancer immunotherapies based on oncolytic viruses combined with tumor-specific peptides through their PeptiCRAd platform. The company spun out from University of Helsinki in 2017 and has raised €19 million in their latest funding round in March 2025, co-led by Indaco Venture Partners and CDP Venture Capital. They are currently in Phase 1B clinical trials for their lead product PeptiCRAd-1, which combines oncolytic adenoviruses with tumor antigens to create therapeutic cancer vaccines. Their unique approach addresses the limited effectiveness of current immunotherapies and aims to treat solid tumors that are currently difficult to cure.
