Winduction is an ETH Zurich spin-off developing wireless charging systems that enable electric buses to charge at regular stops without cables or infrastructure disruption. Founded in November 2024, the company embeds charging elements in roads and receivers in vehicle wheels, allowing fleet operators to reduce battery size and avoid mid-day vehicle swaps. Winduction raised CHF 1.15 million in pre-seed funding in February 2026, backed by private investors, and is building its first demonstrator in a PostAuto bus with a pilot launch targeted for 2028.
